Building a Brand with Heart: A Day in the Life at Kiwi & Co HQ 📸
They say if you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life.
At Kiwi & Co, we’ve discovered that sometimes: you’ll work every single day, love it madly, cry over knitwear, live on iced lattes and still do it all again tomorrow.
Running a small fashion brand isn’t always glossy. It’s real. It’s raw. It’s magic and mayhem.
And we thought it was time to open the doors and show you what life at Kiwi HQ really looks like.
8:43am - The First One In (Usually with a Coffee and a Cardigan)
Most days start with the smell of fabric, fresh air (when someone finally opens the shutters), and at least one team member arriving 17 seconds before the Monday meeting. Someone’s always early. Someone’s always forgotten their lunch. And someone’s always wearing the sample they “accidentally” took home.
We do a quick check of orders, schedule TikTok Lives, review customer messages, and laugh over whatever meme someone’s already dropped in WhatsApp before 9am.
10:15am - Packing Orders with Love (& Speed!)
This is where the magic happens. Our packing team are like soft-handed ninjas moving fast, folding perfectly, and tying ribbon like they were born with bows on.
Each order is personal.
Each name on the label? Real. A real person, who picked our brand to be part of their story. That never stops feeling special.
There are days we pack 20 orders. Days we pack 2,000.
We celebrate both.
11:30am - Marketing Catch-Ups & Collection Sign-Offs
Time to switch from parcel mode to planning mode. We huddle in with more matchas and Canva open, reviewing everything from campaign ideas and TikTok trends to newsletter flows and Pinterest boards.
We obsess over colour names, debate whether “Honey Butter” or “Oatmilk” sounds more delicious for a jumper, and triple-check every launch plan before it goes live. This is also where final collection sign-offs happen - fabrics are stroked, designs are scrutinised, and someone inevitably says: “Wait… should we add we have done this in another colour?”
This is where the creative vision comes to life. And yes - sometimes a full product name is changed five minutes before launch.
12:30pm - Content Brainstorms That Spiral Into Outfit Changes
Lunch break? More like, “Let’s shoot this outfit before the light goes.”
We plan campaigns with half-eaten sandwiches in one hand and sample scarves in the other. Sometimes we’re styling a reel. Sometimes we’re climbing on a chair with a ring light and no dignity.
It’s chaotic. It’s creative. It’s Kiwi & Co.
3:00pm - TikTok Live Time
This is where the real fun begins.
We go live, we pack your orders live, we chat with customers, we try on pieces, we laugh at questions like “Can I get a better price?” (👀 Steph’s not having it) and we build something bigger than clothes - community.
There’s no polish, no pretense. Just real girls, talking real style, in real time.
4:45pm - The ‘Oh Wait!’ Hour
This is when the creative chaos kicks in.
Someone will suddenly remember we forgot to post about the launch.
Someone else will say “Should we do a discount code?”
Someone will whisper, “Can we rename that jumper?”
And someone will definitely be stuffing crisps into their hoodie pocket before locking up.
Why We Do It
We’re not a big corporation.
We’re a small team of women, working from our hearts. We’re designing pieces we’d want to wear, telling stories we’d want to read, and sending parcels we’d want to receive.
Kiwi & Co isn’t just a brand - it’s a feeling. One built on:
- Community over competition
- Confidence over comparison
- And cardigans that feel like hugs.
We don’t always have it together.
But we have each other. And we have you. And that’s more than enough.
Thank you for supporting a brand with heart.
Every comment, order, tag, and message matters more than you know.
We see you. We love you. And we’re so glad you’re here.
